Terms & Conditions

Last Updated: February 15, 2026

1. The agreement and eligibility

By downloading and using miniWatt, you are entering into a legal agreement with Nick Smet (Kalmthout, Belgium).

You must be at least 18 years old, or have permission from a parent or legal guardian who agrees to these terms on your behalf.

2. Medical disclaimer (essential)

  • Consult a doctor before starting any high-intensity training.
  • miniWatt provides structured ERG workouts that automatically control your trainer's resistance. If you feel pain or dizziness, stop immediately.
  • I am not liable for any health issues, injuries, or mechanical failures that occur during your session.

3. The license

  • For $0.99/month, you get a personal license to use the miniWatt HUD.
  • The license is personal, non-transferable, and cannot be shared with other users.
  • You may not resell, sublicense, rent, distribute, or make miniWatt available to third parties.
  • You may not reverse engineer, decompile, or circumvent technical protections, except where mandatory law expressly permits it.
  • No strings: Cancel through LemonSqueezy at any time.
  • Hardware compatibility: miniWatt is designed to work with Zwift-compatible ERG trainers (FTMS 0x1826) and Bluetooth HR monitors (0x180D). Compatibility is not guaranteed for every device.
  • Intellectual property: The Bicycle-Bolt logo, custom workouts, and driver code are my property.

4. Billing, renewal, and cancellation

  • Subscriptions are billed by LemonSqueezy as Merchant of Record and renew automatically unless cancelled.
  • You can cancel any time through LemonSqueezy. Cancellation stops future billing and does not retroactively reverse charges already processed, except where a refund is granted under these terms or required by law.
  • Payment processing, taxes, and invoicing are handled by LemonSqueezy under their checkout and payment terms.
  • I can issue a refund when miniWatt has a material software malfunction that prevents core advertised functionality and cannot be resolved in a reasonable time after you report it.
  • Refunds are not provided for change-of-mind cases.

5. Right of withdrawal (EU consumers)

Under the Belgian WER, digital content is normally subject to a 14-day cooling-off period. By requesting immediate access to miniWatt, you expressly request immediate performance and acknowledge that you may lose your withdrawal right once performance starts, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

6. Service availability and changes

miniWatt may evolve over time. I may add, modify, or remove features, perform maintenance, or discontinue parts of the service when reasonably necessary.

7. Termination

I may suspend or terminate access if these terms are materially violated, if the service is abused, or if continued access creates legal or security risk.

8. Warranty disclaimer

miniWatt is provided on an as-is and as-available basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, I do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, or compatibility with every third-party device, platform, or update.

9. Liability limits

The miniWatt driver is built to be stable, but technology can fail. Total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the last month ($0.99). I am not responsible for indirect damages, except where such limitations are not allowed by applicable law.

10. Governing law and venue

This agreement is governed by Belgian law. Any disputes will be settled in the courts of Antwerp, Belgium.

11. Changes to these terms

I may update these terms from time to time. Updates become effective when posted on this page with a revised Last Updated date.
